I’m a snap happy person. I love taking photos of everything and anything. From a simple walk along the beach to the days out to just chilling on the sofa with Kayne. I think it’s important to keep your photos, whether it be on camera, just a memory in your mind, on a USB stick or in physical form.
I love creating memories as much as I love to look back on them. Life is short and things can change in a heartbeat so I make sure to record practically everything so I have those photos to look back on. Even if it’s just taking a photo of Rupert and Belle (my beloved furbabies) or the more sentimental, heartwarming photos of my Grandparents. I guess taking so many photos is my way of making the memory/subject last forever, so that it doesn’t fade away. This is getting pretty deep but honesty is the best policy right?
Something I love to do when I actually have the time nowadays is scrapbooking or making photo collages.
Kayne has hundreds of scrapbooks and picture collages from me. I find them SO therapeutic and wonderful to look back on. That’s why when Printiki* contacted me, I was super excited being the picture lover I am!
Printiki is a lovely little photo printing company (kinda self explanatory, it’s in the name Katie…) They don’t just print photos though, they also do photobooks and posters. I’ll definitely be looking into the photobooks in the future as they’ll make a great gift, as will the posters! Also as a side note, this would also be a super cool way to do a seating plan for a wedding by getting all your guests photos printed and have them find their seat through the photo! Printiki would also be ideal for a student who wants to make their room more ‘homey’. I spent a fortune on prints at University so I wish I discovered these before hand!
They offer a range of photo styles from the standard style to the currently popular retro style prints. You can add text to your prints too if you want which is a nice touch if you want to remember the exact date and time OR put a memorable quote from that day on there. I could give some examples but they’re all kinda inside jokes so no one would understand them or want to know them for that matter *teehee*.
I was so happy and surprised with the quality of the prints as sometimes when you print your photos – they can come out pixelated or a bit naff. That’s definitely not the case with these though. They adjust and offer recommendations to the best quality which I had to do with a couple of my photos and they turned out fantastic! For anyone wondering, the prints I got were all square M.
PS – How cute do Rupert and Belle look as kittens?!
I found it hard to just narrow it down to 30 prints. So I decided to go with some key moments in my life that I wanted to have a physical reminder on. Either that or I just love the photo or the memory in general! So these photos range from Graduation, to the day we moved into our home to nights out. I’m hoping to make a HUGE scrapbook in time of ‘key moments’ throughout my life. How well this will go down, I’m not sure but it’s worth a shot right?
You also get to choose what kind of finish you want on your photos, so matte or glossy. I opted for the matte finish. Due to the intensity of my blog lights – there is a slight reflection on a couple photos but that’s no biggie! Also, something worth mentioning which is helpful – you can upload photos straight from your social media e.g. Facebook, Instagram if that’s easier for you!
The more you order, the more you save too! This is ideal if you want to do a big printing job. It can get pricey ordering a lot of prints so I’m glad they make it cheaper the more you order. It also gives you a good incentive to get the prints done in one go rather than stages. Mwuhahaha!
All in all, I am SO impressed with Printiki and I will definitely be using them again in future, they’ve definitely provided the best quality prints so far for the best price and the delivery time was fantastic! I really recommend Printiki, they’re a fantastic brand! You can get free shipping with this referral code: 3S2429RX – all the more reason to get some prints from Printiki!
It’s worth noting too that they do have Instagram which you can check out here!
