Wearing false lashes can be the bane of our lives. They can be SO difficult to wear and apply sometimes – am I right?! The lash glue can just ruin your whole look if you don’t apply it JUST right, you could forget to cut them down to size, or like I often do – glue the lashes to my actual lashes by mistake because I’m a right numpty! Here’s some underrated lash brands you need to check out!
I certainly wear lashes a lot more than I used too, I never used to wear them – quite simply because I couldn’t find any lashes I liked! Recently however, I’ve discovered two lash brands that I think are worthy of a whole post dedicated to them. They’re seriously underrated and more people need to know about them!
I don’t claim to be an expert on lashes, I’m still a bit of a noob when it comes to them to be honest with you in terms of application. However, I have got MUCH better over recent months after (almost) mastering the art of applying with tweezers. It definitely makes application a whole lot easier.
First up we have the Demure Lashes* in Noémie, Chloé and Aubrey. I love these lashes because they’re super fluttery and light to wear. These have never had to be cut down either, which I’m super happy with because in all honesty – I cock up every time I cut down lashes! When I wear certain brands of falsies, I tend to find that they can make my eyes feel heavy and weird – these thankfully don’t! 99% of the time I forget that I’m even wearing these. They’re cruelty free too which of course, is a bonus. I use Aubrey quite a lot when I do makeup looks because they just look so flawless. I would say that the Aubrey lashes are more natural. So Aubrey is ideal for the everyday but I did recently wear them for my cut crease tutorial! Noémie are best for the dramatic, bold looks and Chloé is for the ‘Instagrammer makeup’ look.
are also a super cool brand that I recommend. I love their Kiss Lash Couture Faux Mink Collection*! They’re backed by Pixie Lott (who is a babe) as their brand ambassador and they are also cruelty free. What I quite like about these lashes are that I’ve never had to cut them down to size – like ever, they’re a perfect fit for my lash line and look super natural. Here we have Midnight and Little Black Dress. Midnight is definitely for the thicker, more dramatic look, perfect for those crazy nights out whereas Little Black Dress is has a more natural effect to them. I recently wore the Little Black Dress lashes with my Naked Heat look. Little Black Dress are definitely my lashes of choice from Kiss. The lightness, softness and wearability of Kiss falsies are out of this world!
If you can get your hands on either of these brands for false lashes, then go for it. This is coming from someone who isn’t very good at wearing falsies – these are seriously fantastic. They’re so easy to apply, cruelty free, never need cutting down AND they look like a dream when they’re on! They do come with glue too which is an extra bonus point! Both Demure Lashes and Kiss Lash Couture are a solid 10/10 for me.
