Ideal World is one of those companies that I know about but I never think to use. No idea why. It’s just not my first port of call for online shopping. Until very recently, I had no idea they had such a fantastic section for beauty, offering a great range of brands!
Recently, I was very kindly sent the Bloggers box from Ideal World, full of amazing products with some favourites/best sellers. Of course, I was very curious as I waited for the box to arrive. Before receiving the box, I wanted to do a full in depth search on their website to give myself a rough idea of what to expect but I decided against that, I wanted to be surprised! Trust me, I was very bloody surprised (in a good way of course)!
Estee Lauder Gel Liner*
This was the first product I saw and I did a little scream not gonna lie. Estee Lauder is a sought after high end brand. Admittedly, I don’t own much from Estee Lauder but regardless, I was so excited to see this in the box. I’ve never tried gel liner (what kind of beauty blogger am I?) and I’m trying to perfect the winged liner look at the moment so I hoped this would help. To some extent, it did help as it was so much easier to have control of my hand and how I wanted the wing to look, I did find it hard to apply with the little brush provided with the pot though. Thankfully, I have a stupidly large collection of makeup brushes so once I found a flat angled brush, I was on my way!
A little bit of the gel goes a long way and it’s super pigmented too. After trying to apply this at different stages of drawing my face on, I found that this was best to apply before I did my mascara. Which is unusual for me as eyeliner is one of the last things I usually apply – I’m a bit back to front with my makeup application process!
Crystal Clear 10 Minute Glow Peel Off Mask*
Can you be addicted to a skincare product? If so, I am definitely addicted to this. Admittedly, I’m crap at keeping up a skincare routine, don’t hate me! But I am, I will use a product a few times and then stop using it, to start up again in a couple months time. There is only a very small handful of skincare products that I will use on a regular basis, this is one of them. It’s SUCH a good feeling peeling it all off and my skin literally feels incredible after.
The peel is dead simple to put on – once you’ve cleansed your face, apply a thin, even layer and leave it for 10 minutes and voila! It’s time to peel! It’s so therapeutic too, I love watching peel videos, spot popping etc so being able to do this peel on myself – amazing! I did take photos of this on and when I peeled it off but they turned out terribly, I will update this post at some point once I’m happy with the photos!
Skinn Cosmetics Mascara*
I was so surprised about this mascara. Honestly, I have never heard of this brand so my expectations weren’t set high. But boy, did this soon change! It’s the type of wand that I LOVE too, I’m a massive fan of the ‘plastic’ style wands as I personally find that they apply much nicer, don’t make your lashes look clumpy and make them look fuller. It’s so easy to use and you get so much on the wand that I didn’t need to dip back into the tube to get more product. It doesn’t budge once it’s on either, I was crying with laughter wearing this one day and not so much as a smudge… GENUIS! I mean just look at it! Look at that wand! *drools*
The Original Makeup Eraser*
Not gonna lie, I was pretty sceptical about this lil’ thing. I simply didn’t see how this cloth would work with just water since we all use various things to remove makeup from our faces. How wrong was I? The Makeup Eraser works, it actually works!! This will be perfect for people with sensitive skin because all this is, is warm water and a cloth. Obviously you can do your usual skincare routine after but wow. Amazing. I did an Instagram story using this eraser and so many people commented saying they couldn’t believe it, it’s like magic! The eraser is so soft too, it’s amazing!
Skinn Cosmetics Food Fetish Heel Balm*
This smells amazing. I could smell it before I even took the lid off. The heel balm smells like oranges, mango and all the citrus-sey goodness. Not gonna lie, this has been a real help in the summer months to keep my feet looking super and feeling incredibly soft. Let’s be honest – who has nice feet? So we’ve gotta make them look as nice as feet can be. This is a real winner. All you do is apply before you go to sleep and let the balm work its magic over night! If smelling through screens were possible, this would be one I’d be telling you all to sniff!
Elizabeth Grant Hydrating Eye Pads*
The eye pads I was really interested in, I secretly hoped that they would visibly reduce the puffy bags and dark circles under my eyes. Alas, the dark circles are still there but the pads have definitely helps with the puffiness of my eyes. They’re supposed to help reduce the wrinkles around your eyes but I’m very happy to say I don’t have wrinkles there (yet) so I can’t comment on that. BUT did my eye area feel more hydrated and ‘youthful’? Yes, yes it did. Can I even say youthful since I’m only 23? Maybe not, but my eye area is one of the worst areas for skin issues – looking haggard, puffy etc. So of course, I’m happy this is doing something!
Zhuzh! The Best of Both Tans*
This is right up my street. I am TERRIBLE when it comes to fake tanning, 9 times out of 10, I will make it go streaky some how. So Zhuzh having this product where I can apply a little bit of product to create a teeny tiny tan and then work on it through my own real tanning (whenever I actually have time) the beauty of this is that it accelerates your tan to help create that natural, healthy glow. It also has Shea Butter in too which is incredibly moisturising for your skin. What I have used of it, I did notice a little difference on my legs especially.
But alas the great British weather is unpredictable. However, I am going to France in a couple weeks for a few days so I’ll be sure to use it for that – not that I’m going to be spending my time there tanning anyway but just more so if it is nice weather and my legs are out – they don’t look pasty white! I will update this post upon my return (at some point) and let you know how I got on!
Skinn Cosmetics Hollywood Nude Lip Palette*
You all know me, I’m a lover of all the lipsticks. I’ve never actually tried a palette until now and I’m not sure what to make of it. Whilst the colours are beautiful and they apply like a dream. I’m not actually sure if the formula is for me. I love the lipsticks that once they’re on your lips, they’re on and that’s that. The staying power of these are fairly good but they don’t have a lot of strength against food and drink sadly. However, you can mix and match these shades up to create the perfect nude which is something I love! They are really pigmented too which makes me a very happy person, nothing worse than poor pigments when it comes to lip products!
Overall, I’m pretty chuffed with the items in the blogger box from Ideal World. I was really surprised at how many products I actually like. My favourite has to be the Crystal Clear Peel Mask, Skinn Cosmetics Mascara and the Makeup Eraser! They’re just something else!
