We all love a pamper night, am I right? There’s nothing better than using some of your favourite products or trying out something new. Alongside a glass of something (wine or proseccco in my case), in your comfies and your favourite films.
I love pamper nights, I always try and give myself one night a week to give my body and skin some loving. Recently, I’ve felt really dragged down with a lot of things and in all honesty I haven’t exactly been myself. I don’t really show it though. It seems like forever since I gave myself that little bit of ‘me time’ that I really needed and deserved.
The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask*
I LOOOOVE this. Literally. I love this so much. When I start to have a break out or my skin feels really haggard, I stick this on and watch the mask perform its magic. The smell is pretty strong (but also very, very nice) and can be over powering sometimes but if you can get past that then you’re in for a winner. This mask is definitely my go-to for pamper evenings at the moment. You also get an applicator brush with this which is handy because then you can get a nice, even layer of the mask on your face. Having an even, thin layer will also mean the drying time will be much better than if you had it splodged on your face. I LOVE seeing this dry, especially around the nose area and you can just see all the impurities and lil nasties on your skin coming out.
Patisserie De Bain*
Has a brand ever smelt so damn good? I don’t think so. I had to take photos before I used the Strawberry Cupcake Soap Cake Slice* because let’s be honest, once you’ve used a soap bar they’re not the most atheistically pleasing product to take photos of! BUT – this smells amazing, of course. Cupcakes… and strawberries – in soapy goodness, it’s a win, win isn’t it? It works up a lovely lather and you don’t need to give it a proper scrub to get the product going. This is a huge bonus because obviously, you get extra uses. There’s not a weird layer around the soap when it’s dry either. If I’m feeling like crap and I want to smell like a walking cupcake, this is my product of choice!
Admittedly, the Lemon Bon Bon Hand Cream* is definitely more of an every day product because I am never without it but hey ho! Your hands get pampered all the time instead! It smells incredible and your hands feel soooo soft after. It doesn’t leave a greasy film on your hands like some creams do, which is ace. Even Kayne likes using it but I do think that is mostly down to the scent – he’s a bigger lemon fan than me!
The Strawberry Cupcake Hand & Body Lotion*
errrrr maaaa gooodddd, using this after a bath is my favourite thing to do. If you want affordable lotion that will make you feel silky smooth and soft and smell amazing, then you need this. Not only do I feel a billion dollars after putting this on, I also smell like a billion dollars worth of strawberry cupcake goodness. Hopefully that gives you a good idea on how good this lotion is. The softness is there for ages with this too. I do have pretty soft skin naturally but this just makes my skin ‘as soft as a baby’s bottom’ as the saying goes.
Also, I have really sensitive skin and I’m happy to say that none of these have reacted badly.I wish you could eat this whole brand to be honest with you. It’s something else for sure!
Crabtree & Evelyn Florentine Freesia Body Cream*
If you’re looking for a more luxurious answer to body cream, this is the one for you. Your skin will feel A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It says on the container to apply this morning and night but you really don’t need too. You can just apply it once a day and your skin will feel so silky soft. The only thing I’m unsure of is the smell because it is pretty strong and it is pretty overpowering. Once it’s all over your body, the scent does settle and become more subtle which definitely saves the product for me. I’ve done a little tester as using this as a moisturiser before fake tanning and it worked! I did the test on my thighs and knees (because I never have them out anyway and the British weather isn’t the best, let’s be real). So then if it didn’t work… Well I wouldn’t make myself look like a tit because it’s hidden!
Crabtree & Evelyn Venetian Violet Indulgent Bath & Shower Gel*
Ok, this stuff, wow. If you want a luxurious pamper night, this is the one for you. Prepare yourself for the most amazing bath ever. Literally. Once you’ve used this, you’ll want to use it in every single bath. Trust me, it’s like laying in a bath of petals. It’s not one of those disappointing bubble baths where the bubbles go within 10 minutes, these LAST. I also use this to wash my body because why not? The smell is absolutely beautiful too, there’s definitely a floral hint to it but it’s not overpowering which is perfect for me because I can’t stand strong floral smells. I don’t know what it is about them but I just cant hack the smell. This has a perfect blend of fresh, floral scents. It’s dermatologically tested too which is a bonus! A little goes a long way with this too, with some bath products you feel like you’re pouring for ages to get a decent amount of bubbles, this is different though – yay!
My hair is always in need of some TLC because I dye it so it does have damage anyway, the usual split ends, dryness etc. But my biggest problem with my hair is of course – the dreaded frizz monster. Holy cow, do I get that bad! It drives me insane, especially when I have a little fuzz ball of frizz at the top of my head so it looks like I’ve been electrocuted practically… Honestly, it’s dreadful! Thank god for John Frieda to make my hair feel loved!
Alongside feeling like a lifeless, frizzy fuzzball, my hair has felt a bit… well, meh in general. So I’ve been using the John Frieda Frizz Ease Forever Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner* to try combat this. I’ve found that when I used these as a combo – my hair definitely felt smoother, softer, stronger and well… not frizzy. WOOHOO! It also smells lush! Another thing I found was that I didn’t have to wash my hair as frequently. I can last roughly 5-7 days without washing my hair before it starts to get greasy or LOOK dirty but with John Frieda, I can last between 7-9 days. You might call me scruffy for that – cool beans xoxo.
Recently, I went to France,
camping with Hayley, Sophie and Hayley’s mum. The climate in Northern France, I would say is quite unsettled and similar to ours I guess? BUT, the weekend we went – it was absolutely roasting so I was NOT taking any chances. I packed the John Frieda Frizz Ease Original 6 Effects Serum*. Lifesaver. This saved my hair from being a mangled, frizzy mess. My hair on holiday gets really dry – almost the second I get into the country, it’s like it knows I swear! So thank god I had the serum on to help combat this.
It’s pretty straight forward, you apply when your hair’s wet – run it through your hair and let it work the magic. Not only does it help target frizz, it protects your hair from heat and humidity, smoothes, hydrates and tames! It’s like a multi-purpose serum which makes me a very happy lass, I tell ya! I didn’t really have to brush my hair in France despite the beach winds and camping hair, it remained relatively knot free. It didn’t feel particularly dry or frizzy either. Honestly, I hold this baby responsible.
This has gone on a huge tangent as I was supposed to be talking about using this on pamper nights… But let’s roll with it. FYI, I do use this on pamper nights too but I just wanted to share the brilliance of the serum.
Then of course,
I do enjoy using my Magnitone cleansing brush on a part weekly basis. f I’m not fancying The Body Shop mask or if I’m feeling super extra, I’ll use them both on the same night *imagine a sassy emoji here*.
Here we have just a small handful of products that I love using for pamper nights, other products do include the ol’ Faithful Lush bath bombs and shower gels, Kiehl’s facial oils and about 10344 more products! The next on my list to get is the Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Honey Bath – I’ve only heard good things!
