Touch in Sol is a brand straight outta South Korea. With their super quirky names and designs, you can spot Touch in Sol a mile off. Their branding is so distinct and I love that about the brand. It makes them so much easier to remember too, plus with their advanced formulas – we’re already onto a winner. This is my first experience trying K Beauty and I’m buzzing to say that I have not been left disappointed.
What’s so good about Touch in Sol?
I’ve wanted to try them out for SO long thanks to people like Leanne (who I absolutely adore) who does nothing but rave about them. Especially, their primers which seem to get A LOT of attention on social media. The Toc Toc Toning Capsule Base* is a primer designed to hydrate and illuminate the skin. The little tiny pearls in Toc Toc actually dissolve when you blend the primer into your skin which creates the subtle glow. This would be perfect for the summer especially when you want to create the dewy/glowy base. Not only does Toc Toc hydrate and leave you glowing, it also minimises the appearance of pores and fine lines. We’re already onto a winner.
This also smells really nice – it’s quite floral but not too overpowering. I’ve found the best way to apply this is either with gentle, circular motions or with my Tarte Cosmetics angled foundation brush.
If you’re looking for that perfect all in one product,
look no further. The Touch in Sol Flawless Skin Top Coat* acts as a primer, BB cream and foundation. This is super convenient and perfect for anyone who may be travelling, on the go, if you’re a teeny bit lazy like me OR if you wanna feel ultra glam. The formula is really lightweight and it doesn’t feel like your skin is ‘clogged’ up. Let’s be honest, there’s nothing worse than the really thick formulas that really clog up your pores and make you feel like your skin can’t breathe. Again, another product that will be perfect for the summer because of the formula and the whole ‘lightweight’ feel to it. I’d say this is on par with my holy grail Fenty Beauty foundation. It stays on pretty well too.
Recently, I headed to Leeds for the Ice Lolly event ‘Blog At The Beach’ and I had this foundation on for about 14 hours (it was a LONG ASS day) and it was only just starting to separate around my nose when I went to take it off. So, to say that it lasted through the following: travelling, running for a train after a platform change, numerous barburritos, walking to the venue, being at the event, a lot of alcohol consumption and central heating… I think it’s pretty frickin’ amazing and shows just how well it lasts.
I’m always on the hunt for a good powder,
and there’s some god awful ones out there BUT there are also some pretty good ones. Thankfully, the Touch in Sol Pang Pang Cutting Powder* is the latter. It’s a translucent powder which I love, it makes it a whole lot easier to use in my opinion and it sets so well. I don’t really have oily skin (apart from my nose area) and when I have Pang Pang around my nose, it prevents any oiliness coming through. Obviously, don’t hold me to this though because my skin type is mostly dry/sensitive but hopefully it gives you a rough idea. It sets your makeup in place wonderfully which is perfect if you’re constantly on the go or you don’t have time to do a powder top up.
I haven’t even mentioned that this also has an SPF of 30… 30!! To be honest, I think that’s pretty fantastic for a powder. Perfect to help protect your skin from the rays and even more ideal if you live somewhere with A LOT of sun exposure or if you’re off abroad for your holiday. Obviously, even if you live in dreary UK, please make sure you wear SPF on your face (and Pang Pang hint hint) You do get an applicator with it but I prefer to use a fluffy brush. Nothing against the applicator, it’s just what I feel comfy with.
So what do I think to K beauty?
Honestly, I’m so impressed with Korean beauty so far. I know that I’ve only tried three products but I can’t fault Touch in Sol at all and I’ve seen so many other people rave about the brand and Korean beauty in general. I can’t wait to try more from this brand, I’m already looking at a couple items to treat myself too on payday! Touch in Sol is going to go far in the beauty world – watch this space. You can pick up Touch in Sol from Cult Beauty.
