I love trying out new products – whether they’re new releases or have been around for a while. You could try every single product out and it would probably take a lifetime. These products are the ‘best of the bunch’ that’s new in my beauty stash!
Since my last New in Beauty post waaaaay back in February *gasp*. I’ve gathered quite the collection for the next lot of New in Beauty posts. I was going to do a huge mass beauty post here but I decided to split it up so that I have a couple more in this series. Despite the lack of blog posts being dished out, I do actually enjoy writing them and this series especially. It’s fun!
Without wasting much more time because this post is way over due, here are my newest bits in my beauty stash and some bits you might even wanna treat yo self aswell!
Seventeen is sadly, being discontinued at Boots and this truly breaks my heart. It’s such a fantastic brand, that’s so affordable and cruelty free. I’m only angry at myself for not discovering this mascara sooner because it’s an incredible dupe for the Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara and Benefit Cosmetics Rollerlash Mascara which is a fave for many. Since wearing this mascara, I’ve received loads of compliments and so many have asked what it is. Which is why it pains me even more to remember that Seventeen will be leaving Boots *sobs*. The wand is exactly what I love in a mascara – and again is almost identical to both Tarteist Lash Paint mascara and Benefit’s Rollerlash mascara. It adds loads of length and definition to your lashes without it looking clumpy or grim. It just looks natural but full at the same time. It’s currently £3.49 in Boots and on online so I’m going to stock up on this and get a few.
I love a good eye mask,
And the Blaq Eye Mask* fit the bill perfectly. It’s a brand I’ve not come across until recently and my only regret is not discovering the brand sooner because these eye masks were just heavenly. The monochrome packaging and the witty description got me straight away. Anyway, it’s an activated charcoal eye mask designed to ‘de-puff’ and detox your under eye area. I sadly, suffer from puffy eye from time to time and recently, I have been so stressed about everything that my skin has taken a proper beating. So, when I really wanted to treat my self – I’ve popped on the Blaq Eye Masks to help my under eye area. I’ve definitely noticed a difference too. After using them, my under eye area feels so hydrated, zero puff and my dark circles don’t seem as prominent after using these. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Show me the Ouai to good hair!
The Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil* is all kinds of perfect. I am fully in love with this stuff. It’s just amazing. Simple as that. Yes, it does smell of roses but it’s a lovely, subtle rose scent. We all know I hate strong rose scents but this is just the perfect level for me. I always use this after washing my hair now, I do about 4-5 pumps into my hands, then run it through my wet/damp (towel dried) hair and leave it to do its thing. My hair not only smells great but looks bloody damn good too. It smooths and hydrates your hair, adds a glorious shine to it and so silky soft to touch. 100% in love. I’ve only used it on my body a few times but every time I have, I’ve loved how it felt. My body definitely felt softer and more glowy after using this. Definitely something I will be stocking up on too! The Ouai Hair & Body Oil* is £26.00 on Cult Beauty.
Another product which I’m currently obsessing over is the Ouai Texturising Hair Spray*. You can get this in two sizes – one being travel size which is perfect for obviously travelling or if you just want to test the waters with the spray. This is just £10.00. The full sized texturising spray comes in at £22.00. Recently, I’ve been using this spray alongside my Lee Stafford Rainbow Shine Wand to give my hair that little bit extra oomph and volume. It’s been working so well.
The spray is proper easy to use, just spray 6 inches away from your hair and scrunch.
If you want extra volume then flip your hair upside down when spraying. Trust me, it looks gorgeous. You know with some texturising sprays, you get that nasty, crunchy and eurgh feeling? I’m happy to say that this texturising spray does not, I repeat – DOES NOT – give you that feeling. My hair feels like there’s not actually any product on there and feels totally natural. This is my first time encountering Ouai and I’m so happy to have them in my life now because their products are definitely going to become staples in my beauty stash.
Ouai are also cruelty free and their products are paraben free. We’re onto a winner with these beauties!
If you’re after a really decent primer – look no further than Touch In Sol – No Poreblem Primer*
For those of you who read my blog on a regular basis (or at the minute an ‘as and when I post’ basis), you’ll know that I’m a big fan of the Touch In Sol brand and I’ve spoken about them A LOT on here this year already. That’s because they’re a super cool, innovative Korean beauty brand that just ticks all the right boxes for me. The NoPoreblem Primer* contains a powder which is designed to totally smooth out any unevenness on your face and minimise visible pores. This obviously, helps to create that ultra smooth skin finish which also makes your skin incredibly soft to the touch. The primer contains green tea extract and collagen too. So, not only does your skin look good – it is also getting some TLC too.
Just to give you an idea on how well this helps your makeup – I wore this for the wedding I recently went too, applied my makeup at like 8-9.00am and even at midnight my makeup was still pretty good. Especially considering the weather and length of time. It also smells really nice too, I can’t quite describe the smell but it’s sooo good and not dead strong but just a lovely, subtle hint. The No Poreblem Primer is a new fave and I can’t get enough of it. It’s currently available from Cult Beauty for £15.00.
Every person I know loves Caudalie,
it’s no secret that they’re an incredibly popular skincare brand. One of their collections that is mega popular is their Vine[Activ] range. The Caudalie Vine[Activ] Energising and Smoothing Eye Set* and a great way to experience what this particular collection has to offer. In this set, there’s three mini products for you to try: the Energising and Soothing Eye Cream, Glow Activating Anti-wrinkle Serum and a 3-in-1 Moisturiser.
So just a quick run down of each product:
The Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum* is designed to help protect your skin from everyday stuff such as pollution, stress etc. This serum does definitely gives me a natural and healthy looking glow. The serum is super light and doesn’t leave your skin feeling all sticky and weird. Which I love because I can’t stand stickiness and is one of the things I actually look for in a skin product. My skin definitely feels plumper (in a good way) after using this. I tend to use this at night rather than in the morning because then I think of it as an extra ‘cleanse’ my face of any impurities from the day. I’m having to use it sparingly because I don’t want it to run out *sobs*. But, it is my birthday month so who knows – Kayne might get me this because I do love this serum. You can get the full sized version for £36.00.
The 3-in-1 Moisturiser* is currently my Spring time moisturiser since its *supposed* to be Spring – typical British weather eh? But weather aside, this moisturiser is pretty good. The moisturiser targets three key things: anti-wrinkle, anti-dark circles (hello huge dark circle sufferer here) and it’s glow activating. The wrinkle aspect, I can’t fully speak for because I only have the wrinkles on my forehead from frowning too much (grumpy gills over here) but it’s definitely made a difference on those. They aren’t as noticeable. My dark circles are also less visible but I think that’s a combination of products.
It’s made up of natural ingredients which is a massive factor for me so it’s paraben free and all that jazz.
My skin pretty much soaks it all up straight away which I’m guessing is a good thing? The smell too is just perfect. It’s not an overpowering scent which is ideal for me in a moisturiser. I’m not a fan of strong scents on my face because I don’t want my skin to react. But this is just perfect. It’s super light weight too and again – gives you a proper natural, healthy glow. The full sized version of this is just £32.00.
Finally, the Energising and Smoothing Eye Cream* has definitely been playing a large role in the dark circles under my eyes. I’ve been using this morning and night. Especially since my Tarte Cosmetics Marajuca C Brighter Eye Treatment ran out. The eye cream has definitely helped keep the dark circles at bay. My under eye area feels super hydrated and energised. This one I definitely need to purchase a full sized version of and it comes in at £27.50.
These are my new in beauty products!
