Eight months. 34 weeks. 243 days. 5,840 hours. 350,040 minutes of Buddy being in this world. Wow.
Buddy’s been here nearly the same length of a pregnancy… Jeeeze. He’s closer to being one year old than he is to being a newborn too. It just blows my mind how quick the times gone.
This post would have been live and on time for once but there were some slight technical issues with my blog… Better late than never I guess!

Eight Month Update
Happy Halloween!
Now, I hate Halloween. I think it’s on par with bonfire night – pretty pointless, just causes loads of trouble and can get expensive pretty quick. But, with it being Buddy’s first Halloween, I decided to get into the ‘ghouly’ spirit a bit… This literally just means putting him in an outfit. Mum and Dad saw this Chewbacca onesie in the sale after Halloween last year and if you knew my Dad, you’d know he was a massive Star Wars fan. So obviously, they had to get him it.

We went to a Pumpkin Patch a couple weeks ago too and Buddy loved it! We got the cutest photos. Buddy just enjoyed being in the carrier for a change, taking in everything around him. I really struggle to carry Buddy for long because of my back so Kayne strapped him up onto him. Which I soon regretted once I realised how hard it is to manoeuvre a wheelbarrow with pumpkins in on an uneven surface… I lost track at how many times I nearly fell over.

We have a word!
He’s standing up more standing up unaided. It’s still pretty sporadic but when he does it, he’s there for a good 5-10 seconds before going back down on his butt. Time will tell I guess. For eight months old, he sure is determined.

Night times have been…. fun. We’re not sure why but Buddy has suddenly stopped sleeping through every night. Some nights, we won’t hear a peep from him but at times… I might as well just get up and start my day at 4-5am. He’s always been amazing when it comes to sleeping at night but recently, it’s been all over the place. The only thing I can think of that’s troubling him are his teeth and a little bit of separation anxiety.
I don’t buy into these leaps and regressions, they’ve never been right for Buddy and babies aren’t textbook y’know?

(At the time of typing this, there was 1.5 months til Christmas, but as I said, some technical difficulties stopped this from happening. But please just pretend…) I’m just super excited for Buddy’s first Christmas! He’ll be 9.5 months old so he’ll be pretty aware. We haven’t gone mad with his presents, just essentials for him really – clothes, a couple new toys, sleeping bag… That kinda thing. More than anything, I’m just looking forward to our first Christmas as a family of three. Last year, I was a pregnant whale, this year… I can DRINK!!! Let’s see how Christmas goes!
That’s all for now. Check out his seven month and six month update here!
