Wow. This post is even later than the last two. Surely, I definitely deserve the #TopMumAward now right?
So much has happened in the last month, or month and a half at least. Since I’m so shit at getting these posts up on time. Buddy is changing every single day right before our eyes and we cannot believe that he’s been here for almost six months already! (Probably will be six months by the time I get this live).
Buddy’s
Five month update
The main photo is a really special one to me. The baby grow and Fred the Red are what my Dad got for Buddy from Old Trafford in October but he never got to see him wear this. It’s 3-6 months so it was now or never really. I was really unsure whether I wanted to put Buddy in this or any of the Man Utd gear Dad got for him but I know he would love it and it makes a nice photo to put in his memory book.

So, some big updates:
Buddy is crawling.
Yep, you read that right. He is bloody crawling. He moves SO fast, it’s ridiculous really. Gone are the mornings of getting ready in peace, now I’m constantly having to pick him up and put him back on the playmat. Constantly getting him away from the cats, out the kitchen (which is currently being renovated so it’s an absolute shit tip atm)… Literally everything. We knew that Buddy was quite forward anyway but this forward… No idea. I’m forever sharing videos on Instagram of him crawling and being a little monkey. (Obv a cute little monkey).
He’s been crawling for about a month now I think, or since the start of August at least… Basically a month now. Is it bad that I don’t actually remember the date? He is so determined though and yeah… Kayne and I now have no peace and quiet! There’s a lot of bumps to the head and crawling into furniture, doors… You name it.
Buddy is also pulling himself up on the sofa.
This boy just does not stop. He’s not long been crawling and now he’s pulling himself up on the sofas. Buddy has only just started pulling himself up on the sofa for the last couple days so really, this should’ve been in the next update but ah well. However, he has been pulling himself up on the next to me for a couple weeks now. It’s almost like he doesn’t want to be a baby anymore.

We’re getting ready for full blown weaning.
We’ve just been easing him into it for the last month or so, with baby porridge, the odd bit of blended food here and there but nothing massive. As I said in my last update, he is definitely ready for weaning but we didn’t want to push him too much. He loves a rusk too! (reduced sugar of course), I tend to share them with him because those rusks are bloody yummy.
Since he’s almost six months, we’ll soon be giving him some finger food and a wider range of foods to have. I’m still not 100% sure on how I feel about BLW. *Don’t come for me mummy bloggers*. Anyway, we’ll see how it goes.

Buddy is now in his own room.
This was such a sad night when this happened. Ideally, I wanted to keep him in our room for at least another month or so but he was pulling himself up on his next to me crib, as I said earlier. I was terrified he would pull himself up in the night and not onto our bed but onto the floor. He’s taken to his ‘big boy cot’ like a charm. He does fight his sleep from time to time but what baby doesn’t? Thankfully, he is still sleeping through from his bedtime til the following morning, he’s so good bless him. Buddy looks so TINY in the cot, *sobs*.
